Your Tasks as an Industrial Clerk Apprentice at AWILA

Quotes and Invoices
You calculate quotes, write order confirmations, and issue invoices – for a single spare part just as for a complete plant.

Purchasing and Materials
You obtain prices, compare suppliers, and make sure steel, motors, and purchased parts arrive in Lastrup on time.

Keeping Track of Deadlines
You track where an order stands and speak up in time, before a deadline is at risk.

Handling Customer Conversations
You receive inquiries, clarify questions, and maintain contact – by phone and email, often in English too.

Analyzing Figures
You prepare reports and, over time, learn what a project’s economics really depend on.

Plant construction: start your career
as an industrial clerk!
The apprenticeship lasts three years and takes you through every commercial department. You won’t be sitting in a corner sorting folders – from day one, you handle your own tasks, first alongside someone else, later on your own.
Because technical and commercial teams sit side by side with us, you’ll quickly understand what you’re actually purchasing and invoicing. That’s exactly what sets an apprenticeship at a plant manufacturer apart from one at a pure trading company.

Your Profile as an Industrial Clerk Apprentice

Secondary School Certificate or High School Diploma
A good grade helps, but math and language skills matter more to us – you’ll need both daily.

A Good Feel for Precise Work
A wrong figure in a quote shows up at the latest on the invoice. Care matters more here than speed.

English Skills
Our customers are located in over 50 countries. School English is enough to start – you’ll learn the rest with us.

Motivated & Eager to Work
You ask questions when you don’t understand something, and pitch in when things get tight.

Apprenticeship – and then?
What happens next?
We train apprentices because we want to keep them on. If it’s a good fit, you’ll get a contract at the end of your apprenticeship – and have a say in which area you end up in.
After that, many paths are possible: sales, purchasing, order processing, or supporting our customers abroad.

A cover letter, CV, and your last two report cards are enough for us. We’ll clarify everything else in a conversation.
