Your Tasks as a Warehouse Logistics Apprentice at AWILA

Receiving and Inspecting Goods

You check whether the delivery matches the delivery note and report discrepancies before they disappear into the warehouse.

Storing

You assign each part its place – so it can be found later, even by someone else looking for it.

Picking

You put together what production, assembly, or the customer needs, working with a forklift and scanner.

Preparing Shipments

You pack, label, and create the paperwork – for international shipments, customs documentation is also part of it.

Securing Loads

You learn how components are secured on the truck so they arrive undamaged at the job site.

Plant construction: start your career
in warehouse logistics!

The apprenticeship lasts three years and takes you through every station: goods receiving, warehouse, picking, and shipping. You’ll get your forklift license with us.

Our shelves don’t hold standard items, but components for plants that exist only once. Anyone who keeps the overview here is needed – and notices it too.

We train apprentices because we want to keep them on. If it’s a good fit, you’ll get a contract at the end of your apprenticeship.

After that, you can stay in the warehouse or move into shipping or purchasing.

General Questions & Answers About Your Apprenticeship

Our apprenticeship years always start on August 1st. You can apply about a year in advance – the earlier, the better your chances of getting your desired profession.
Usually one to two days a week; the rest of the time you’re at the company. The exact days are set by the vocational school, and we plan your schedule around them.
We pay according to the collective agreement, and the pay increases each year of training. We’re happy to tell you the exact amounts in a conversation.
A cover letter, CV, and your last two report cards are enough for us. Feel free to mention internships or part-time jobs – a photo isn’t required.
No trick questions. We want to know why the profession interests you and what you imagine it involves. Afterwards, we’ll show you around the company so you can see where you’d be working.
